Ms. Cunningham-Kruppa
teaches preservation administration courses and assists in the management
of PCS. She worked half-time as Digital Programs Librarian in Digital
Library Services of UT's General Libraries until Fall 2002, now
she is with PCS full-time. From September 1988 through October 1997,
Ms. Cunningham-Kruppa was Preservation Officer for the General Libraries.
She served as the National Historical Publications and Records Commission
Project Archivist for the Peabody Institute, John Hopkins University,
1985-87.

Hal Erickson
teaches courses in Conservation Science. He has conducted research
and consulted on a range of conservation issues including diethyl
zinc mass deacidification of archival materials and devising the
appropriate traveling and display environment for the world's first
photograph.

Patricia Galloway
came to GSLIS in 2000 to teach courses in the management and preservation
of electronic records and digital assets. Previously, she worked
at the Mississippi Department of Archives and History from 1979
to 2000, where she supervised the archives' automation program,
carried out historical research, edited both historical documents
and the Department's extensive archaeological publications, directed
the creation of new permanent exhibits for the Mississippi State
Historical Museum covering the period 1500-1800, and presided over
an NHPRC project to create an electronic records program for the
archives. She is the author of Choctaw Genesis, 1500-1700
(1995) and the editor of The Hernando de Soto Expedition: History,
Historiography, and "Discovery" in the Southeast (1997).

Dr. Gracy introduced
preservation courses into the GSLIS curriculum in 1987. He has worked
as Archivist, Southern Labor Archives, Georgia State University,
and then Director, Texas State Archives. He is a former President
of the Society of American Archivists and Secretary of the Council
on Library and Information Resources. Dr. Gracy's research interests
include archives and records management, as well as American biography.
He is the author of Archives and Manuscripts: Arrangement and
Description; of An Introduction to Archives and Manuscripts;
of Littlefield Lands: Colonization on the Texas Plains, 1912-1920;
of Moses Austin: His Life; and co-author of Ships
of the Texas Navy.

Ms. Metzger
joined the PCS faculty in Spring, 2001, teaching the Book Lab courses.
After completing an internship in rare book conservation at the
Library of Congress in 1994, Ms. Metzger worked as a project conservator
for over five years at the Huntington Library in San Marino, Calif.
She also worked as one of the teachers for the Lampadia/Getty-sponsored
conservation education program for visiting South American conservators.
In Fall, 2000, Ms. Metzger conducted a Fulbright Lectureship in
Argentina.

Karen Pavelka
joined the PCS program in 1994. In addition to teaching courses
on records materials and environmental issues in preservation, she
developed and leads a two-semester sequence of lab classes covering
all aspects of library and archival paper conservation treatment.
Previously she headed the Paper Conservation Lab at the Harry Ransom
Humanities Research Center. Ms. Pavelka has taught and lectured
both in the United States and internationally.

Ann Seago has
been the office manager for PCS since 1994. She is the department
liaison between the program and University administration. As office
