One of the best features of this site is its extensive list of related links/URLs.

The European Computer Vision Network (ECVnet) is an association of public, private, and industrial research laboratories devoted to the advancement of science and technology of computer vision in Europe; comprehensive site provides extensive resources re: research on "machines that see," general information on CV is provided, as well as CV research and information pertaining to Industry, Education, and Science; also provides information on CV groups, CV software and hardware, Image data bases, scientific publications, conferences/meetings, collaborative projects, CV technologies, and industrial applications; site includes links to CV research institutions and industries worldwide.

The Centre for AI and Robotics (CAIR) was established in 1986 under the auspices of the Defence Research Organization (DRDO); CAIR conducts applied research in the fields of AI, robotics, and automation (emphasis on defense requirements); focus areas of CAIR are AI, Robotics, CV, Neural Networks, Control Systems, and Learning Theory; site provides information on CV hardware for early vision processing, modelling from images, stereo for measurements, parts segmentation and identification, Virtual Reality (VR) for training, VR for design, and VR for entertainment; also includes information on Robot Path Planning.

Site provides information re: face recognition and CV, including list of research groups in face recognition, commercial products re: face recognition, freeware (example: Face Detector Demo at Carnegie Mellon University), tutorial on face recognition using neural networks of CMU, and a number of Internet resources re: facial analysis, facial animation, face databases, test images for face detection, Pattern Recognition, and Neural Networks.  Site also includes links to AI newsgroups.  One of the strongest attributes of this site is its extensive links to related sites (for example, links to face processing pointers and face databases).  This site includes links to article archives such as the Vision and Image Processing Archive and provides a comprehensive list of on-line publications involving face recognition (as well as journal articles and other resources involving face recognition and facial analysis).  Included is a face recognition bibliography containing a database with more than 200 articles concerning face recognition (from both computer science and psychology perspectives).
