Readings
There will be at least two required exams during the semester, a Mid-term exam and a Final exam. The exams will be based on the text readings and class lectures, and will be cumulative. The tentative dates of the exams are indicated on the course calendar.
Homework Assignments
Several assignments will be made throughout the course to help your understanding of library services and issues.

Grading
Grades will be based on your cumulative scores, but the totals will be curved before being converted into traditional letter grades. Points willb e awarded as follows:

Attendance
It is important to your success in this class that you arrive on time, attend every class, and take part in class discussion. Unavoidable absences should be cleared with the instructor in advance. No more than two absences are allowed for the semester. More than this will affect your grade.
You will be responsible for the information covered in all class sessions, whether or not you are in attendance. Students are expected to turn in assignments when they are due, and all written examinations when scheduled (unless prior arrangements have been made with the instructor.) Late assignments and make-up exams not scheduled in advance will be lowered one letter grade.
