Content
Amazingly, this is exactly what it says it is. Over 700 complete
famous classics are reproduced on screen. The full text of poems,
historical selections, essays, drama, and novels are enhanced by
pictures of people or items such as ships.
A pleasant voice quality produces narration of the shorter
selections, mostly from about 25 seconds to 1 and a half minutes.
Some of the shorter selections might be read on screen but I really
can't imagine someone reading a whole classic novel on the
computer. Even though the program claims to be is soft on the
eyes, it can't be easy on the rear end.

Ease of Use
Biographies of famous people are similar to encyclopedia entries
thus making it a good resource for school libraries. The search
feature can be most useful. Any topic chosen can be searched
throughout the data base including the full text of classics, etc.
For example if the topic is epilepsy, it can be found in all of the
selections, plays, classics, etc. That could make a really
impressive report.
World Literary Heritage is fascinating and can be used in middle
schools or high schools. I recommend it.
