DESCRIPTION OF CURRENT YOUTH/CHILDREN'S SERVICES

I love my job. I had previously taught only high school with one year at junior high. I had no idea that I would love this age group, 4th and 5th grades, so much. I just wish I'd decided to get this degree 20 years earlier!

We celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month by welcoming Kathleen Trenchard from CUT-IT-OUT in San Antonio who demonstrated the art of "papel picado". The students then made their own papel picado.

We enjoyed the Second Youth Theatre's performance of "A Thousand Cranes," after reading the book, Sadako.
