ARIZONA
Richey K-8 School is situated in Tucson, Arizona within a Yaqui community, the Old Pascua Neighborhood.
Pascua Village was officially established in 1921 and two years later Miss Richey opened school in an open-front ramada. A year later in 1924, parents built a one-room adobe school. The school gradually expanded but it was not until 1954 that the current Richey School building replaced the old school.
Today Richey K-8 School serves 220 students ranging from pre-school through 8th grade with one class at each grade level.
