Old Business
It should be noted on the IAG web site
that the San Antonio Public Library Project is finished, even though
it shows that final testing was never done. We do not plan on doing
anything more on this project unless specifically requested by the
client. However, to prevent any confusion as to the status of this
project, Randolph suggested that we contact the client and if it's
OK with them, that we add a footnote stating that testing was not
done at the end of the project due to a lack of time but that the
project is in fact finished and the client is satisfied. Rhonda
said she would contact Steve and ask him to forward this request
to the San Antonio Public Library and get an answer from him.
- New Business
Rhonda added
a comment that she would like, from time to time, to act as a facilitator
for the Information Architect Group in the event someone else from
the Group would like to lead a presentation. Alternatively, we could
share the leadership duties at the meetings among the members.

GSLIS IT Lab Portal Project
Due to Kayla needing to take off some time for personal reasons,
she has asked to delay the proposed meeting with the IT Lab from
this Friday (October 12, 2001) to next Friday (October 19, 2001).
At this meeting, she will go over her proposal for the IT Lab Portal.
In the meantime, she has asked the group members to look at other
portals and to work on our focus groups.
Center for Computational Visualization Project
There was much discussion on this project, including the fact that
this would be a one-semester project to be completed by December,
2001. Accordingly, we need to prepare a proposal to give to Dr.
Bajaj in the relatively near future. Marlene had prepared an initial
presentation on this project, and gave her facts and findings to
the group members.
The following schedule was agreed upon to accommodate both projects:
* October 17, 2001 Usability Demonstration/Lecture by Randolph
* October 24, 2001 Portal Project Update/Presentation
* October 31, 2001 Usability Walkthrough for CCV
- Remaining Issues:
Rhonda gave a quick power point presentation of the information architecture
procedure. There being nothing else, this meeting was adjourned at
approximately 1:00 p.m.
Respectfully submitted,
David Brackus
