• Present: Rhonda Kuiper, David Brackus, Kayla Chioco, Violet Le, Marlene Graham, Sally Krash and Kristy Wolf

• Organizational status
  Kayla went to the Dean of Students Office to obtain the necessary paperwork to officially register our group as an official organization of the University of Texas. Randolph said he would approach the Dean of GSLIS and ask for discretionary funds (approximately $200) to help offset any costs we might encounter. We also need to look into putting our group on the student's section of the GSLIS website.
  
  
• Lou Rosenfeld
  Lou's recent trip to UT was a huge success and Randolph told everyone that Lou wanted to personally thank all those who assisted him during his time in Austin (especially Kayla and Violet in the IT Lab). Lou's parting comments were that everyone in Austin was so friendly! Randolph mentioned that he may explore the possibility of having Lou come back to UT in the summer to teach a three-week course.
  
  
• Membership
  A few members cannot make the Wednesday noon weekly meeting, but wanted to remain apprised of any developments and upcoming projects, and wanted to remain on the mailing list. Eleanor Lisney can not make the meetings this semester due to course overload, and she requested that her project be placed on the back burner until Spring semester.
  Additionally, Rhonda requested that we keep Steve Schang and Eric Magnuson on the active list for the foreseeable future.
  
  
• Projects
  The projects discussed and presented to the group include the following:
  1. Kristy's project with the UT Digital Library
  2. Kayla's project with the GSLIS portal
  3. Violet's project with the Center for Computational Visualization
  4. Rhonda's project of trying to find a non-profit organization and help them either design a web site or modify and update their existing website
  Those present indicated which project they were interested in working on. Next week the teams will present a proposal for the work they will do. There being nothing else, this meeting was adjourned at 1:00 p.m.
