To add notes to your presentation, first make sure you are in normal view by selecting View->Normal. Now go to the bottom of the window where it says “Click to add notes”, click once, and add some notes. I’ll add some notes to our first slide as well. These notes will display when you save this presentation as a Web page. You’ll also have the option to print your presentation with the notes displayed, and I’ll show you how to do that a bit later on.
But first, there’s one other view I would like to show you. It’s called the “Slide Sorter” view. To see the Slide Sorter view, just go to “View”, and select “Slide Sorter”. Here you’ll see that your slides are arranged in a way that makes it a little easier to manipulate them. To move the slides around, just click and drag. If you want to go back to the normal view, just go to “View: Normal’.
Now I’m going to show you how to print your presentation. To print your presentation, just go to “File”, and select “Print”. You’ll see a window that comes up that allows you to select different options. In these “Drop-Down” boxes you can select what printer you’re going to use, here, just what it is we’re going to print out, here – and I’m going to print the slides out, so I’ll select “Slides” - and whether you’re going to print in color or in grayscale, here.
If you’re happy with what it is we’re going to print out, click on the “OK” button. If you’re not happy with it, click on the “Cancel” button, and make any changes to your presentation that you feel are necessary.
If you want to preview what it is you’re going to print out, you’ve got two options. You can click on the “Preview” button here or you can click on “Cancel”, and select File->Print Preview.
On this page you’ll see your presentation exactly as it will appear when you print it out. You’ll also have the option to change what it is you’re going to print out. Right now, I’m going to have the slides and the notes displayed, with the “Print What”, “Notes Pages” option. You can also change it back to “Slides”, which will just display the slides, and if you want to see your presentation a little more clearly, all you have to do is click on top of it and it’ll zoom in. If you click once more, it’ll zoom back out.
If you’re happy with what it is you’re going to print out, click on the button that says “Print”. Otherwise, click on the “Close” button and make any more changes that you need to.
Now if you’re happy with what it is you’re going to print out,
just hit the “Print” button. If not, you can select “Close” and
then make changes to the presentation.
