Signing Up for an iSchool AccountWhy Do I Need an iSchool Account? When you sign up for an iSchool account, you receive 150 MB of server space – you can transfer and/or store all sorts of files and websites that you can share with anyone online! You also receive 100 MB of email space (that’s 25 times what Yahoo offers), which you can access through UT’s webmail, or the email client of your choice. Additionally, some professors require you to use your iSchool server space to put your papers online. Also, your fees are paying for these services. You might as well take advantage of them! How Do I Sign Up for an iSchool Account? Any student, staff, or faculty member in the School of Information is eligible to receive an iSchool account. In order to sign up for a School of Information account, follow these steps: 1. Visit the New Accounts page at http://www.ischool.utexas.edu/technology/accounts. 2. There are two ways to activate your account, depending on whether you are a PC or a Mac user. PC users can continue on to the next section. Mac users can skip ahead to this section. |
