Downloading and Installing FirefoxTo install Firefox on your computer, go to the homepage of the Mozilla Foundation: http://www.mozilla.org/ and either select the products tab or the link to download Firefox from the homepage, if it is available.
On the products page, find Firefox, click on its link and go to Firefox’s product page at http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/ .
Select the free download link.
After selecting the link to the free download you should see a message similar to this: After selecting save, you will now be prompted to select a location to save the installation file.
After determining where you’ll save the Firefox installer, click on the Save button. In this example, we will save to the desktop.
Downloading should begin. If you are currently using Internet Explorer, a download progress box should appear, that looks similar to the image above.
Now run the automated installer to install Firefox, which should be straightforward. First, find the file you just downloaded. In this case it is on our desktop, and doubleclick it. (Note: you can also right-click it and select open.) This should launch the automated installer and begin setting up Firefox to run on your computer. Note: If you have Windows XP Service Pack 2 installed, this box might appear. If so, select run to continue to install.
After the installer is extracted, you should see the following screens: 1) Welcome:
2) License:
3) Setup Type:
4) Select Components:
5) Installing:
6) Install Complete:
