iLife Suite IntegrationiTunes is a member of the iLife Suite '05 group of programs. The suite also includes iPhoto, iMovie, iDVD, and GarageBand.
Tracks that have been added to your iTunes Library can be added to creations in iPhoto, iMovie, and iDVD. Your songs can be used as background music for slideshows of your photos, featured in your home movies, and embedded in your homemade DVD menus. Just make sure that all of the tracks you'd like to use have been imported into your Library; this makes it easier for the other iLife programs to find them. GarageBand:
Once you've created a finished product in GarageBand, iTunes is its conduit to the outside world. By exporting your musical creation to iTunes, you can save it in formats that are compatible with other programs. To do this, go to the File menu and click on Export to iTunes.
Once the track is in iTunes, you can add it to playlists and burn it to CDs just like any other iTunes track. GarageBand can also be used to record audio podcasts. Printing an Index of Your Tracks: Having a comprehensive list of the tracks available in your Library can help when trying to choose music for slideshows, movies, and DVD menus. To print a musical catalog, highlight your library (or a playlist that you'd like to print) in the Source column, go to the File menu, and select Print.
Here, you can print a list of all your songs or group them by album (choose "Album listing"). Theme changes the way in which your tracks are sorted. If you have added album artwork to your iTunes library, these pictures will be printed in the album listing. Also, if you want to create a CD case insert that lists your CD's tracks (for example, when printing the song list for a specific playlist), you can also do that from the Print window. |
