EudoraEudora is an email application that can be downloaded free of charge from Bevoware. It incorporates an easy to use graphical user interface and resides on the user’s desktop. Eudora is a POP application, so messages are stored on your computer; however, it can be configured to leave mail on the server for a certain amount of time. Once you’ve downloaded Eudora to your machine, it will need to be configured to access your iSchool email account. Eudora is named after Southern writer Eudora Welty, in honor of her short story, “Why I Live at the P.O.” Who should use Eudora? Eudora is a good email application for users who only use their home computer to check messages, for users who have a slow Internet connection (as it allows you to download all your messages at once, to read at your leisure after you have terminated your connection), and for users who are more comfortable with a graphical user interface. For more information on Eudora, check out the Eudora tutorial. This tutorial shows you how to download and install Eudora, how to check and send mail, how to personalize Eudora's security settings, and how to add a voice message to your email, among other things. |
