Welcome to IADU doctoral degree applicants

We welcome doctoral applicants of any academic background who wish to become scientists who help us advance the field of information studies for the betterment of humankind. After a two-course core in the iSchool and four research methods classes chosen from the offerings around campus, the doctoral student will pursue a qualifying process entailing a paper and a week-long written exam. Throughout the student's career he or she will be encouraged and supported to carry out research and present it at conferences and in journals.
