On April 2nd during the 2009 Texas Library Association conference in Houston Dr. Barbara Immroth, Professor in the iSchool, received the Lifetime Achievement Award. The award is given to a librarian who has been a long standing TLA member, has been recognized as having had an exemplary career in librarianship, has been active in her participation in professional organizations, and has demonstrated creative leadership and service to the library profession.
