iSchool Students Recognized for Web Work
As part of the conference, Internet, Culture, and Society: French and American Perspectives, held on November 18, 19, and 20, Libby Peterek (Master's candidate) and Patrick Williams (PhD student) were recognized for their contribution to the digital poster session. The students tied for 3rd place for "Mixed Numbers: The Hidden Meanings of Everyday Digits" by Patrick Williams and "Texas 4000 For Cancer" by Ryan Amos & Libby PeterekThe conference focused on topics which highlighted the interests and expertise of faculty and students at the University of Texas as well as counterparts and colleagues in France. Participants explored the intersections of the social, the cultural, and the technological in plenary sessions, round tables, digital posters, and artistic performances.
