Dr. Owens Tall Texans Mentor
Dr. Irene Owens has been selected as a Mentor for the "Tall Texans Leadership Development Institute" to be held at Canyon Oaks Ranch, in the Hill Country near Wimberley, Texas, May 30 through June 4, 2004.The Tall Texans Leadership Institute provides leadership training for the Texas Library Association and is intended to foster leadership capabilities, define leadership development activities, and foster cultural diversity in library and information science leadership. Dr. Owens intends to use this experience to help further develop leadership skills in students here at The School of Information.
