We made our final visit for the year to Sacaton School yesterday. All of
the children in grades Pre-K through 2nd got to select either one or
two RIF books. We also gave out and assembled the dinosaur visors. The
kindergarteners were on their way to a field trip to the dinosaur exhibit
at the Mesa Southwest Museum right after our program, so the visors
were very appropriate and much appreciated!

We visited Sacaton Elementary School and brought new books, read stories
(even some scary ones!) and distributed RIF books to the pre-K, Kindergarten
and 1st graders. It was somewhat hectic because a number of the teachers
forgot we were coming, due the long holiday weekend, so we were a little
behind scheduled. It all worked out though. I asked the kids if they
remembered when we came to see them when school started and some of
them did. I asked if they remembered "Dr. Loriene's scary stories" and
most of them did! One little girl wanted to know if the boy(Owen Hunter)
who plays guitar was with us again. It was a good day. We are still
trying to work with St. Peter's for a December visit. We have to visit
them before the end of the year to distribute the 1st of the RIF books
there.
